Volunteer Opportunities & Descriptions
If you'd like to volunteer (and we'd be forever grateful if you did!) please fill out the volunteer application below. We are always in need of help!
Adoption Committee – Processing adoption applications, conducting home visits of potential adopters, facilitating “meet & greet” opportunities with potential adopters, their current pets & the dog they hope to adopt, etc.
Fundraising Committee –We need people to who can help with event planning and publicity of events; soliciting donations of money and/ or items from individuals and businesses. You'll help plan and execute events as well.
Tech/Marketing/Social Media Committee – We need help maintaining and updating our database of volunteers, our website and social media with current events and adoptables, fielding email inquiries, press releases of upcoming events, post event publicity on website and email blasts.
Volunteer Committee – Help set clear rules and policies for all volunteers, conduct training of new volunteers on an ongoing basis and help recruit new volunteers to the organization at events.
Foster Committee – Foster families are everything! We can only take in as many dogs as we have foster homes for, so maintaining a good relationship and communicating often to those who are fostering is part of the work of this committee. Recruiting new fosters, making home visits, providing support as needed, assisting with taking foster dogs to vet appointments or events and maintaining records of dogs in foster are all part of what this committee does.
Special Training/ Skills Group – For those of you who have special skills, talents, experience (dog grooming, training, veterinary skills, etc.), this group is for you. Your skills will be used to help get the dogs prepared for adoption by improving their appearance, social skills and ability to respond to basic commands.
